I just launched a new client site – New York Business Valuation Services. This business site was built to promote the services of Edward F. Saroney III.
After meeting with the client, he had a clear vision of what he wanted the site to look like and say. He provided all the content, which was great as who better to communicate what their business offers than the client. After reviewing the layout of the site, we took a look at the marketing materials that were already produced. The goal was to have the web site complement the company’s portfolios, brochures and letterhead.
The portfolio was on an Antique Gray linen paper stock and the company’s color was a deep hunter green. The color was easy to match but replicating the Antique Gray paper was a bit more difficult. We secured an image of beige linen paper and adjusted the color balance to get a similar gray color.
On the site, that paper stock image was used as the background for the header and footer, as well as the navigation. The main content area is white with borders constructed to appear like a piece of plain paper on top of heavy stock paper. It is a simple design that is easy to read and navigate through.
Overall, the client was happy with the design. Going forward, I will be maintaining the site with ongoing SEO and general upkeep.
